Junior House
Junior House is home for children in Years 7 and 8 where every girl and boy feels loved and part of a family. They have lots of fun enjoying all the benefits of the extensive range of facilities, specialist expertise and opportunities on offer from the Senior School around them. It serves as an excellent stepping stone in preparation for the Senior School. In this family environment the children are at the centre of everything we do; they feel at home and secure, and able to achieve their best.
Ampleforth’s mission to educate the whole child, mind, body and soul, enabling them to flourish to the full in life. Junior House offers this in a way that is bespoke to 11 and 12 year olds:
- a broad and ambitious curriculum designed to enthuse, inspire curiosity and a love of learning
- a huge range of extra-curricular opportunities and activities to enable the broadest possible experience and encourage the discovery of interests and talents
- nurturing pastoral care which cherishes and loves each child as a gift from God - and through which they learn to serve the needs of others
- a lot of energy and fun along the way!
