Back End Productions return with their 12th blockbusting show, a prehistoric themed Dick Whittington
pantomime, starring Old Amplefordian Dominic Savage (D95).
Set millions of years ago, the story (such as it is) sees a
young cavegirl Dixie donning male garb to become Dick, hoping to become
Mayor of Rockopolis. Along the way she meets many wild characters, such
as Captain Caveman and the Thunderbirds, Neil Ithic, and Early Man. Not
to mention a potential love interest called Rock. Unfortunately standing
in her way are the evil Raptors, led by the Queen, who wants the role
of Mayor for herself. Treachery, debauchery and jokes so old they were
found with fossils...you can have it all at a Back End panto. Throw in
some toe-tapping tunes and toe-curling innuendo, and you've got the
perfect pre-Christmas treat!
This year all profits from the show is raising money for Help For Heroes, OCHRE and Help A London Child.
