Tom Willcox (E90) has set up as an independent communications consultant based in North Lancashire, serving a mix of agencies and private clients across the country.
Based out of his father’s home town of Lytham St Annes, the cornerstones of his provision are copywriting for press and marketing materials, media engagement and website content management and generation.
With experience in SME development, Tom offers a flexible pay-as-you-go service aimed primarily at smaller companies without the budget to cater for regular, retained PR agency support which is usually the preserve of their larger competitors.
“All work can be done remotely for clients anywhere in the UK,” he explained. “Typically, I will work with a client on a short project or small piece of work first to establish the relationship before progressing.
“As well as all the bread and butter services you would expect from an agency, such as writing press releases, media engagement and providing online content, I also run ‘health check’ audits to review and improve outbound customer service and client correspondence, brochures, training manuals and procedures, briefings and presentations.”
