3 Benedictine schools at St Mary Moorfields
On Friday 13th May Fr Peter Newby, parish priest of the beautiful early 20th century City church, St Mary Moorfields, again welcomed alumni of Downside, Ampleforth and Worth to midday Mass, assisted by Fr Hugh Lewis-Vivas of Ampleforth. Over 22 persons sat down afterwards to an excellent lunch prepared by his West End trained chef. Ampleforth was well represented and the success of the event was measured by everyone’s reluctance to draw proceedings to a close for the inevitable return to work.
