David W Kennedy M.D (D66) has been awarded Castle Connolly National Physician of the Year for 2011. Kennedy is best known for his pioneering work in endoscopic sinus surgery and minimally invasive trans-nasal and skull base surgery. As a result of these techniques he has significantly reduced surgical morbidity and improved surgical results, and his research has significantly advanced our understanding of these disorders and revolutionized their management.
The National Physician of the Year Awards recognizes both physicians and leaders in healthcare whose dedication, talents and skills have improved the lives of countless thousands of people throughout the world.
