Cecilia Horsburgh's Marathon Effort

*UPDATE* - 4th May 2012

A big thank you to all those who sponsored Cecilia in the recent London Marathon. She finished in just over 5 hours and in true Cecilia style timed it so that she finished just as Ed Balls was also finishing thus ensuring she was shown on television and good pictures were taken (copies to follow).

She and her boyfriend Mark have so far raised over £3,200 for Leukaemia Care. If you meant to donate but just did not get round to it don't worry her just giving site is still open. Just a couple of clicks and it is done.

Congratulations Cecilia!

Cecilia Horsburg (A10) is running the 2012 London Marathon to raise money for the Leukaemia Care charity - supporting a quality of life for those with blood and lymphatic cancers.

"Leukaemia CARE exists to provide vital care and support to all those whose lives have been affected by leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma and the allied blood disorders. Our work extends to the welfare of families and carers, as well as that of patients themselves. Quite simply...'supporting a quality of life for all'"

Your money will go to help care for patients and their family through some of the most difficult times in their lives.

You can donate towards Cecilia's efforts through her JustGiving page here or by texting WOTD67 and the amount in pounds to 70070. Once you donate, your money will be sent directly to the charity and Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
