OAs Volunteer at the AV Kenya Venture Project
OAs Tom Shrimpton and Ed Hoyle (both Dunstan's 11) have been volunteering at the Kitumbe Primary school as part of the AV Kenya Venture project.
Tom
has been assisting with teaching, coaching sports and organising PE
lessons at Marinyn Primary and Secondary School in Western Kenya, and
Ed has been helping with Social Studies, Maths, Creative Arts, organising PE
and Games lessons at Kitumbe Primary School. Along with the rest of
the group, Tom and Ed have settled well into African
life and have just a few weeks left of the school term; the
group will then head off for a few weeks
of travel in East Africa.
