Old Amplefordian Golfing Society
The Old Amplefordian Golfing Society welcomes OAs of all golfing abilities. The handicaps of existing members vary between scratch and about 28. This year we have 20 fixtures that are open to all members. Some of these are matches against the host clubs, some are matches against other Old Boys sides ( Downside, Glenalmond, Sedbergh, Cranleigh and St Paul’s) and some are meetings for OAs only. We also enter five representative competitions and there is a selection process for these teams.
We are very fortunate to be able to play at some of the finest
courses around including five that have held the Open Championship. We
have a youth fund which is used to subsidise the cost of some meetings
for younger members/university students.
